Prof. Tamer Koçel (İstanbul Kültür University, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Business Administration Department), Turkey
Professor Tamer Koçel graduated from Kabataş High School for Boys in 1963 and the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University in 1967. He completed his studies in the Management Development Program at the Institute of Business Administration and he earned his Doctorate degree from Istanbul University in 1970. Professor Koçel also obtained an MBA degree from Michigan State University, USA, in 1974. He was promoted to Associate Professorship at İstanbul University in 1975. Then he attended the Executive Development Program at the BANFF School of Advanced Management in Alberta, Canada in 1977. He worked as the Secretary General and Education Coordinator at the Institute of Business Administration, İstanbul University, between 1975 and 1979. He was a Visiting Scholar and then an Associate Chairman at the Water E. Heller Business School of Roosevelt University in Chicago, USA, between 1980 and 1982. Previously, Prof. Koçel worked as a department chair and Professor of Business Management and Organization at Istanbul University, Department of Business Management. Between 1983 and 1993 he worked in some big companies in Turkey as an advisor, executive advisor and as coordinator.In 1999, Prof. Koçel joined Istanbul Kültür University. He served as the Dean of Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences and also Vice-Rector for five years. He served as the rector of İstanbul Kültür University between 2004 and 2008. Prof. Koçel has published several articles and is the author of the books “Business Management” and “Management Concepts and Techniques”.
Prof.Jiri Strouhal (Skoda Auto University), Department of Finance and Accounting, Praque
Jiří Strouhal works as full professor at the Department of Finance and Accounting of Skoda Auto University Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic) and also as a full professor at MIAS School of Business and Interdisciplinary Studies of Czech Technical University Prague (Czech Republic). His academic carreer was many years linked with the University of Economics Prague, where he earned his academic degrees (2005 – Ph.D., 2013 – associate professor, 2016 – full professor).
His major interests cover international accounting, corporate finance and evaluation of corporate financial performance.
He collaborates with professional companies (mostly auditing companies) and government bodies (Czech Statistical Office, General Fiscal Authority CR). In 2006 he earned the degree of accounting expert based on the certification scheme of the Union of Accountants CR. Since 2011 he serves as a President of the Association of Czech Professional Accountants, since 2016 he is a Chair of Control Committee of Union of Accountants Prague.
He published more than 30 books in the area of accounting and corporate finance, as well as many research articles from these disciplines.
